Franklin County Sheriff’s Office weekly report for Nov. 13 – 20, 2015:

Deputies responded to 132 calls for service during this time period

11/13/2015 Deputy Nicholas Zecher responded to an alarm at Saddleback Ridge wind project in Carthage.

11/13/2015 Cpl. Matt Brann responded to a car vs. deer accident on the Mercer Road in New Sharon. Deer died at the scene, the car sustained reportable damage.

11/13/2015 Deputy Zecher responded to a car vs. deer accident on the South Strong Road in Strong. Deer ran from the scene, the car sustained reportable damage.

11/13/2015 Deputy Zecher responded to a car vs. deer accident on the Philips Road in Strong. Deer died at the scene, the car did not stop.

11/14/2015 Cpl. Brann responded to Spruce Valley LLC in Avon for an alarm.

11/14/2015 Deputy Andrew Morgan responded to a 911 hang up complaint on the Archer Road in Chesterville.

11/14/2015 Deputy Zecher responded to Reeds Mill Road in Madrid to back up Trooper Reid Bond for a domestic disturbance call.

11/14/2015 Cpl. Brann responded to the Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon for a report of an erratic driver.

11/15/2015 Cpl. Brann responded to a single vehicle accident on Old Dead River Road in Eustis.

11/15/2015 Deputy Brann assisted Trooper Bond searching for a female who had violated probation.

11/16/2015 Deputy Zecher responded to a 911 hang-up complaint on West Kingfield Road in Kingfield.

11/16/2015 Cpl. Brann responded to a car vs. deer accident on the Farmington Road in Strong. Deer died at the scene, the car sustained reportable damage

11/17/2015 Deputy Sandy Burke responded to a report of a vehicle that had cut off a school bus almost causing an accident in Phillips.

11/18/2015 Deputy Burke responded to a car vs. deer accident on Main St in Kingfield. Deer died at the scene, the car sustained reportable damage.

11/18/2015 Deputy Colt Bernhardt responded to a parking complaint on North Main Street in Strong.

11/18/2015 Deputy Bernhardt responded to TransCanada in Chain of Ponds for a building alarm.

11/18/2015 Deputy Zecher responded to a report of suspicious activity at the end of Metallic Cove Way in Rangeley Plt. It was determined that the suspicious people were actually the camp owners.

11/19/2015 Det. Kenneth Charles and Lt. David St. Laurent conducted a bail check on Winter Hill Road in Carthage.

11/18/2015 Deputy Burke responded to a car vs. deer accident on the Stratton Road in Dallas Plt. Deer died at the scene, the car sustained reportable damage.

11/18/2015 Deputy Zecher responded to a car vs deer accident on the Rangeley Road in Madrid. Deer died at the scene, the driver of the car did not stop to identify themselves.

11/19/2015 Deputy Bernhardt, Chief Deputy Steven Lowell and Lt. David Rackliffe responded to 2 Silvernoggin Lane in Madrid for a report of a domestic disturbance. As a result of the investigation, Aaron Bonneau was arrested and charged with class D obstructing the report of a crime.

11/20/2015 Deputy Burke responded to the Rangeley Road in Coplin Plt regarding a complaint road rage.

Deputies conducted 33 building checks during this time period and only one not secured; deputies also conducted five elder checks.

  1. There sure has been a lot of car deer accidents this fall. I don’t want to get my deer this way. I think the deer harvested is about average. Keep up your good work. You sure have lots of miles to patrol. GREAT JOB !!!!

  2. Mating season (The Rut). Deer will travel in day light hours,out side regular habitat to mate.Survial of the species.
