Updated, Monday, Sept. 22: A woman police were trying to locate after they say she took a sweatshirt from Walmart, has been arrested and taken to the Cumberland County jail. Jessica Harvey was arrested today on a charge of theft.

FARMINGTON – Police are asking the public for help in locating a woman charged with theft of a sweatshirt from Walmart this summer.

On July 15, Farmington police asked the public’s help in identifying a woman recorded on a surveillance camera leaving Walmart. According to Farmington Officer Bridgette Gilbert, a woman went into Walmart on July 6 and allegedly took a pink “Maine” sweatshirt from the store. The woman refused to stop for asset protection personnel and left the store, the officer said at the time.

On July 29, police issued a statement thanking the public for help in identifying the suspect.

Investigators are now seeking to locate Jessica Harvey. An arrest warrant has been issued for the alleged theft at Walmart and another undisclosed “matter that occurred in Mexico, Maine.” If anyone knows Harvey’s whereabouts in Farmington, call the Farmington Police Department at 778-6311.
