Two charged in connection with heroin overdose investigation

NEW SHARON – As a result of the investigation into the suspected drug overdose at 545 Farmington Falls Road last week, the lead investigator, State Police Trooper Keith Barton has charged the two individuals reportedly involved.

On April 8, family members called 911 to report two unresponsive adults were found after a child returned home from school. Emergency personnel responded to the residence and the investigation into an alleged overdose began.

On April 12, Barton interviewed Daniel Villacci, 27, of New Sharon, and charged him with furnishing schedule drugs, namely heroin, a Class C crime and possession of heroin, also a Class C crime.

On April 14, Barton charged Tabatha Schoubroek, 29, of New Sharon, with Class C possession of heroin.

According to Sgt. Matt Casavant of the State Police, “based on the investigation it was determined Villacci furnished heroin to Schoubroek on April 8.” Villacci and Schoubroek live together at the Farmington Falls Road residence.

“The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be possible,” he added.

Both Villacci and Schoubroek are scheduled to be in court on June 24 at 8:30 a.m.
