FARMINGTON – A local woman was arrested Friday after she allegedly rammed a wooden staircase with her minivan.
Debra Huff-Emerson, 56 of Farmington, was arrested on charges of reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief by Officer Darin Gilbert. According to police, Huff-Emerson was arrested for ramming a set of wooden steps attached to mobile home.
“There was quite a bit of damage to the steps,” FPD secretary Bonnie Pomeroy said, “and quite a bit of damage to her vehicle.”
The reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon charge relates to the alleged use of Huff-Emerson’s minivan in the incident. The criminal mischief charge deals with the damage to the steps.
Huff-Emerson was taken to Franklin County Detention Center. Her next scheduled court appearance is in October.
