Franklin County Sheriff’s Cpl. Nathan Reid and Deputy Hartley responded to Duck Scout Road following the report of a domestic dispute.

According to Sheriff Scott Nichols, on arrival at the residence they reported that Diane Bouley of Erving, Mass., and her boyfriend “had been arguing which escalated to the point where Diane (Bouley) grabbed a shotgun and pointed at the boyfriend.”

The boyfriend then retreated out of the house and into his pick-up truck.

“Diane then followed him outside and started beating on the pickup truck with the shotgun while he was sitting inside of it calling 911,” Nichols said.

As the deputies arrived, they ordered Bouley out of the house where she reportedly surrendered the shotgun. She was arrested on charges of misdemeanor Class D reckless conduct with a firearm and felony Class C domestic violence terrorizing.

As of Monday morning, Bouley remained at the Franklin County Detention Center.
