Agnes M. “Aggie” Doyen Morin (1940 – 2012)
FARMINGTON - Agnes M. “Aggie” Doyen Morin, 72, of Farmington, formerly of Rangeley, died Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 15, 2012 at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, with her loving family at her side.
She was born on May 19, 1940, in Farmington, a daughter of George G. and Frances (Donnelly) Hainse. She attended Rangeley schools, graduating as Valedictorian of her Rangeley High School 1958 class.
As a young woman in Rangeley, she worked at Doc’s Drug Store before moving to Warwick, RI with her husband. She returned to Farmington in 1970 and worked at Goodwin’s Dairy Shop for several years before taking a position as a cook at the Franklin County Sherriff’s Office. She retired from the Sherriff’s office after 23 years of service.
Aggie was also a well known cake baker and decorator in the area, even teaching a night class in cake decorating. She was a member of the Farmington Woman’s Auxiliary and enjoyed various crafts, especially making them with her grandchildren and the company of her cats, Jazy, Coco, and Poco.
She is survived by her husband, Kailen Morin, whom she married in Rangeley in 2005; her six children, Michael Doyen and his partner, Jeannette of Boothbay Harbor, Theresa Brown and her husband, John of Wilton, James Doyen and his wife, Pam of Livermore Falls, Lisa Hodgkins and her husband, Greg of Scarborough, Melvin Doyen and his wife, Elizabeth of Fairfield, and Diana Duley and her husband, Tom of Industry; 16 grandchildren, Kristen, Shawn, Kara, David, Megan, Brandon, Haley, Alyssa, Brianna, Breana, Devin, Kyleigh, Matthew, Jonathan, Christopher, and Dillon; 7 great grandchildren including Wyatt Dalton and Ariyah Doyen; a sister, Marie “Cookie” Hunter of Augusta; three nephews; two “bonus” sons, Rob Shulfelt of Jay and Tim Piekart of South Portland. She was predecaed by her parents; a son-in-law, Dennis Barry.
Aggie’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Edgewood Rehabilitation & Living Center and the Third Floor of Franklin Memorial Hospital for their loving care of Aggie and her family during her time there.

Funeral services will be held 11AM, Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 at the Wiles Funeral Home, Cremation Service & Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington with Rev. Eva Thompson, officiating. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home, 2-4PM, Sun., Aug. 19, 2012. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Farmington.
