AVON – Agnes May Cook, 82, passed away on Dec. 1, 2018, at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center in Farmington.

She was born on May 21, 1936, in Avon, the daughter of Charles and Iona (Philbrick) Coolong.

She was educated in the schools of Phillips, and graduated from Phillips High School in the class of 1954. Over the years, Agnes was employed at Forster Manufacturing in Strong, Fairfield Semiconductor in South Portland, and Sebago Shoe Company. In her later years, she took care of Alzheimer patients. Agnes enjoyed rock collecting and was a member of the Gem Society. She also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Agnes is survived by; daughter, Gale Scavone of Maryland; daughter in-law, Crystal Seymore of Avon; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by; sons, Rocky Seymore and Gary Seymore; and brother, Bill Coolong.

Donations may be made in Agnes’ memory to the Maine Cancer Foundation, 170 US Route 1, Suite 250, Falmouth, ME 04105. Agnes requested that there be no services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938.
