WINSLOW – Angelo Falcone, 85, passed away March 1, 2015 at the Maine Veteran’s Hospital in Augusta surrounded by family.

He was born June 8, 1929 in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of Patrick and Eva (Grossi) Falcone.

He was educated in Rhode Island schools, graduating in 1943, worked for the railroad, then served in the guards. He was then activated in the Army during the Korean War and spent time in Germany. After he was honorably discharged, he worked as a chef and guard at the prison in Rhode Island. He resided there until 1992, when he moved to Maine and made this his home. Angleo had a passion for cooking which he shared with family and friends, dancing, music, and hunting here in Maine.

Angleo is survived by his domestic partner of many years, Judi Alexander of Winslow; 6 children and 2 step children, Thomas Falcone, Diane Linden and husband Bill, Angela Falcone, Patricia Lanigan and husband Shawn, Maria Falcone all of Rhode Island, Carol Santagata of Florida, Dana Alexander of Calais, and Wendy Alexander of Eddington; 10 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 step great grandchild.

A mass of Christian burial will be held April 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, Pleasant Street, Waterville. Graveside service will be held in Rhode Island at a later date at the convenience of the family.
