Betty Lou (Harris) Frost (1942 – 2012)

AUBURN - Betty Lou (Harris) Frost, 70, of Mount Vernon died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on June 11, 1942, in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of Roscoe and Doris (Carl) Harris. She worked for Bailey’s in New Hampshire, Saunders in Readfield and just before she retired at the Mt. Vernon Country Store. She enjoyed her grandchildren, playing bingo and going to the casino with her sisters.

She is survived by; her long life companion, Maclyn Beattie of Mount Vernon; her children, Richard Frost of Lewiston, Wade Frost and wife, Terry of South Paris, Kevin Frost of Lewiston, Steven Frost of Jay, Belinda Lilley and husband, Steve of Vienna, Bonnie Currier and companion, Clayton Hall of Vienna, and James Frost of Mount Vernon; sisters, Carolyn Hall of Mount Vernon, Carmelita Hunt and husband Kellog of Virginia, Joan Hodsdon and husband, Ronald of North Monmouth, and Jeannette Williams and husband Robert of Mount Vernon ; brother, Everett Harris and wife, Myrna of Wilton; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by; her parents, Roscoe and Doris Harris; ex-husband, Elvin Frost; companion, Bernal Tracy; and sister, Ann Cook.

At her request there will be no public visiting hours or funeral service. A celebration of life at her daughter’s home in Vienna will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Please contact Bonnie Currier for more information at 293-2331 or 242-5806.
