AUGUSTA – Beverly Marie O’Brien, 56, passed away peacefully Feb. 10, 2016 at MaineGeneral Medical Center knowing that she was loved deeply by her family.
She was born Jan. 23, 1960 in Amesbury, Massachusetts, the daughter of James A. and Genevieve M. (Eaton) Corley, Sr.
She was educated in local schools in Amesbury, MA. On May 14, 1982, she married Scott F. O’Brien in Amesbury, MA. As a young woman, she worked several years as a certified nurse’s aide in surrounding area nursing homes. She was an active member of Christ Community Fellowship Church, loved her cat Zoey, and bird Billy. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, cross stitching, and loved to read, especially her Bible. She loved her nine grandchildren very much and looked forward to each visit.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 33 years, Scott F. O’Brien of Skowhegan; son, Michael W. Barrett; 3 daughters, Erica M. Gregoire and husband Steven of Canaan, Rebecca L. O’Brien of Skowhegan, Rachel A. Mague and husband David of Columbia, ME; father, James A. Corley of Amesbury, MA; brother, James A. Corley, Jr. of Salisbury, MA; 3 sisters, Cherie Dodge and husband William of Amesbury, MA, Eileen Corley of Exeter, NH, Cara Moody and husband Mark of Middleton, NH.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Christ Community Fellowship Church, 43 Maple Street, Madison, ME 04950 with Pastor Tobin Curtis officiating. Everyone is invited to come and celebrate the life of this amazing woman.
