Billie Anne Wheeler

Billie Anne Wheeler, formerly of Temple, passed away Aug. 29, 2020 in Red Springs, N.C. with her husband at her side.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald Wheeler of Red Springs; daughter, Karrie Andersch and her husband Kevin; son, Keith Wheeler, his wife Sandi and their daughter Sydney; sister, Darlene Platt; brother Wilkie Platt, his wife Norma; sister-in-law, Maxine Platt Belanger; brother-in-law, Dan Gazette; nieces and nephews, Melissa Platt Wiliams, Barry Platt, Nathan Platt, Craig Platt, Leeann Rosa and Jason Platt.

Billie Anne was preceded in death by her parents, William and Annie Platt; her brothers, Jarad and Dale Platt; and her nephew, Wilkie Jon Platt.

Her family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

  1. I worked with Billie at Rural Group Practice many years ago. She was such a nice and caring lady. And I might add a “hoot and a half” My condolences to Don, Keith and Karrie and the rest of her family and friends. She will surely be missed.

  2. Worked with Billie at the Old Farmington Shoe. Just the nicest person. She bailed me out by picking me up to go to work when I broke my ankle. So willing to help out. Don’t know anyone who didn’t like her.

  3. I worked with Billie at Rural Group Practice for several years. She was a wonderful lady. Easy going, kind and always with a smile for everyone. I have several quilt patterns in my pattern album from Billie and one “The Log Cabin” that is my favorite, I have crafted several quilts from. I know that in her life, she was a role model for many, and a treasure to her family. My condolences to family and friends.

  4. I also worked with Billie at Rural Group Practice, she was a wonderful lady with a great sense of humor and always willing to help out. My thoughts and prayers to her family.
