Brenda Louise Bailey (1947-2012)
NORRIDGEWOCK - Brenda Louise Bailey, 64, died Friday, September 21, 2012 at Lakewood Nursing Home in Waterville after a long illness.
She was born on October 22, 1947 in Skowhegan, the daughter of Ernest Henery and Elise Ardell (Walker) Bailey, Sr. She was educated in the Skowhegan area schools and graduated from Skowhegan High School in 1965.
Over the years she was employed by Skowhegan Motels and Rome Camps as a part of the housekeeping staff. Brenda enjoyed watching “soaps," doing puzzle books and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and was part of the East Madison Grange.
Brenda is survived by two sisters, Tina Holt and husband Richard of Norridgewock, Clara Richarson and husband Danny of Skowhegan; brother, Ernest Bailey and wife Wanda of Norridgewock; son, Scott Bailey and companion Candi Salisbury of Norridgewock; daughter, Donna Simonds and husband Robert of Hartland; step daughter, Stacey Skidgell of Cornville; two stepsons, Tommy and Chucky; two grandsons, Scott Bailey, Jr. And companion Megan Peary of Embden, Robert Simonds, Jr. (RJ) and companion Ashley Corson of Madison; five granddaughters, Katie Bailey and boyfriend Justin Boles of Hartland, Jessica Skidgell of Fairfield, Tiah Lewis of Skowhegan, Jessica Bunker and companion Roger Plourde of Hartland, Missy Bunker of Hartland; six great grandchildren, Abrionna LaBonte, Dana LaBonte, Jusiah Skidgell, Conner Fox, Brian (Kippy) Cowan, and Neveah Mcdougal; six special friends, Chrystal Bunker and companion Joe Baulieu, Jr. of Hartland, Millie Simonds of Hartland, Kathy Day and husband Albert of St. Albans, Debbie Kimball of Dexter, Jean Trask of Skowhegan, and Laura Spofford of Skowhegan.
She was predeceased by her mother, father, and uncle Wilber.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Health Reach Hospice of Waterville for all the loving care and support provided during Brenda's illness.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date. At the request of the family there will be no funeral or visitation hours.
