Christine H. LaBelle (1921-2012)

FARMINGTON – Christine H. LaBelle, 91, of Farmington passed away Dec. 31, 2012 at Orchard Park Rehabilitation and Living Center in Farmington.

She was born May 1, 1921, the daughter of Elmer and Grace P. (Hall) Reynolds. She worked at several jobs in her younger years before raising her family. She then went on to enjoy her hobby of oil painting.

Christine always enjoyed writing poetry and was well known for it, having many published books of poetry. She loved her bird, Sweet Pea and also enjoyed gardening.

Christine is survived by her daughter Tanya Bowman and her husband Glenn of Woolwich; six grandchildren Joseph, Ronald, Dawn, Melissa, Matthew, and Christina; four great grandchildren; and her brother Merlon Reynolds.

She was predeceased by her husband Alton LaBelle, and her son Donald LaBelle.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Gay Cemetery in Fairbanks. Arrangements under the care of Adams-McFarlane Funeral & Cremation Services, 108 Court St., Farmington. Those wishing may send condolences for the family at www.adamsmcfarlane.com

  1. My prayers and condolences to Christines family. She and I had been friends since back in late 1948. We talked many times over the years and I also enjoyed going to visit her when I could. She was a good friend and I will miss her. RIP Christine you lived a long life and a good one.
