DRESDEN – Cynthia Stinchfield MacMaster, 36, passed away on Dec. 19, 2014, with her husband Scott at her side after a courageous second battle with cancer.

Cyndi was born on June 30, 1978, the daughter of James and Brenda Jarrell Stinchfield. She grew up in Anson and graduated from Carrabec High School. She went on to earn an associate’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in social work. She worked as a real estate agent and was more recently employed by the Maine Rural Water Association.

Cyndi married Scott MacMaster on May 19, 2001, and they had three sons, the lights of her life. The family resided in Gardiner, Greenville, and more recently in Dresden.

Cyndi was a bright, strong, determined, loving mother and dedicated wife. She had a passion for writing and was working on her first novel, as well as several children’s books, which were being created in collaboration with her father as illustrator. Cyndi and Scott prided themselves on their gardens and homestead. The family enjoyed camping with family, outings to sporting events, hiking, and biking.

Cyndi was predeceased by her mother on Sept. 3, 2011.

She is survived by her husband Scott, children: Jake, 12, Parker, 7, and Tripp, 5; her father James Stinchfield of Carrabassett Valley; her sister Corina Gilbert and husband Marc of Mercer; her brother Luke Stinchfield and wife Angie of Kalispell, Montana; parents-in-law Brian and Rhoda MacMaster of South Gardiner; sisters-in-law Jill Powers (Duane) of Petersburg, Alaska, Julie (Alfred) Booty of Bowdoinham, Susan Beaulieu (Benjamin) of Readfield, and Shelley Murphy (Daniel) of Middleburg, Florida, as well as several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Cyndi’s life will be held on Dec. 28, from 2-4 p.m. at the Augusta Lodge of Elks, 397 Civic Center Drive in Augusta.
