SKOWHEGAN – Daniel Alan Wade, 60, passed away on Jan. 24, 2015, at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan.

He was born on Jan. 25, 1954 in Waterville, the son of Neil and Mary (LeClair) Wade. He was educated in local area schools and got his GED from Lawrence High School, then continued his education by attending and graduating from the College for Welding.

On May 28, 1977, he married Julie Bigelow in Bingham. Dan worked for many years at Seabrook in New Hampshire Bridge Construction, Fish Hatchery in Bingham and helped with Guide Service in Pleasant Ridge Welding with Callahan Brothers.

Daniel was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army. He was an active member of UBM and loved flowers, gardens, birds and cherished time spent with family, especially his grandsons.

Dan is survived by his wife, Julie A. (Bigelow) Wade of Concord Township; son, Brandon Wade and wife Sally of Raymond; daughter, Amanda Schrader and husband Michael of Bingham; two grandsons, Thomas and Nikalis Schrader, both of Bingham; two brothers, Neil Wade and wife Karen of Moscow, Tim Wade of Bingham; sister, Melinda Richards and husband Daniel of Virginia; parents, Mary and Neil Wade of Pleasant Ridge; mother-in-law, Boots Bigelow of Bingham; adopted family, the Littlefields of East Benton; special friends, Vinny and Ellen Briggs and Butler; countless nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Diana Wade; brother, Gene Wade; nephew, Little Dan; and father-in-law, Philip Bigelow.

The family would like to thank the staff of Redington-Fairview General Hospital for helping to keep Dan comfortable in his final days. Also hospice, with a special thank you to Holly.

A Celebration of Life will be held Feb. 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Bingham Church of Nazarene. with Pastor Tim Hoyt officiating.
