FARMINGTON – Earl C. Lane, 76, of Temple, passed away Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 20, 1940 in Fall River, Mass., the son of Carl and Irene Lane.
He attended school in Fall River and graduated from Diman Vocational High School in 1960. He went to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1963. Earl worked for various companies around the country as a machinist, tool and die maker. He met and married Joyce Greenwood in East Hartford, Conn. They raised two children. In 1992 he retired due to an injury and moved to Maine in 1993, where he enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, CB radio, and building and flying model airplanes. He was a parishioner at Living Waters Assembly of God in Farmington.
Surviving him are his wife Joyce, a son Charles Lane and wife Trisha and their daughter Jessica of Hillsboro, N.H., and a daughter, Nicole Viera and husband Mark of New Bedford, MA. A sister Nancy Davenport and husband Tom of Connecticut.
A memorial service will be held at Living Waters Assembly of God Church 547 Wilton Road Farmington, ME on Saturday May 14, 2016 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Steve Bracy officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams-McFarlane Funeral & Cremation Svc. 108 Court St. Farmington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Earl’s memory to the church at 547 Wilton Road Farmington , ME 04938.
