FARMINGTON – Ernest Roy Daggett, 85, passed away on Nov. 23, 2014 at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center in Farmington where he has been a patient for the three years.

He was born in Dead River Plantation on June 10, 1929, the son of George and Alice (Dunphy) Daggett.

He was educated in the schools of Freeman and Strong. In his early years, Ernest lived in Kingfield and then moved to Farmington where he has resided for the past twenty years.

He worked for Frederick’s as a truck driver where he hauled gravel to construction sites. He married Dora Sage Fish on December 4, 2008 in Farmington. Ernest enjoyed wood working, listening to country music, and going for motorcycles rides with his wife.

He is survived by; his wife, Dora Daggett of Farmington; his step children, Donna Greenleaf of Skowhegan and Debbie Garcia of Texas; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by; his six sisters, Grace, Freda, Ella, Germaine, Mildred and Mary: his six brothers, Andy, Bert, Robert Quinn, Delmont, Blaine and Lee.

There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Services, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington ME 04938.

  1. My condolences to the Daggett family. Psalms 51:17 says: A heart broken and crushed, O’God, you will not reject. Yes, please go to him, in your time of need and pour your heart out and see the he is not only able but is willing to give you and your family the needed strength to continue on. Please find some comfort from this, in your time of need, knowing someone care.

  2. My condolences to Ernst’s family. I remember Ernest have many a suppers with my folks and me. I think I was about 10 when Ernest gave me a fly tying kit. I loved that kit. My prayers goes out to Ernest and family.
