Funeral services for Vincenta C. Gage held in Farmington

FARMINGTON – Funeral services for Vincenta C. Gage were held Saturday, Oct. 18, at Wiles Remembrance Center in Farmington, with Rhonda Wiles-Rosell as celebrant.

The service opened by playing Vincenta’s favorite song, “If you were the Only Girl in the World” and shortly after that, “Moon River” by Henry Mancini. A time of sharing and remembrances were offered and family and friends shared stories of their beloved “Vinnie”. Susan Knedler read “Memories and Peace” by Gloria Matthew and the service closed beautifully by playing “Lucky Old Sun” by Kenny Chesney and Willie Nelson.

Committal services were held prior to the funeral at the Strong Village Cemetery in Strong. Bearers were Paul Grassey, George Grassey, Rick Knedler, David Peck, John Conant, and Matthew Conant. Following services, a comfort reception was held at Wiles Remembrance Center.
