Jerry was born in Anson on Aug. 12, 1943. He was predeceased by his parents, Aletha Pearl Nye Fenlason Spencer and Oscar Ellery Fenlason. A 1961 graduate of Anson Academy in North Anson, he excelled in basketball and baseball. Jerry was also a proud member of the Maine National Guard.

Early in his career, Jerry worked in the north woods of Maine hauling wood, gravel and was an all around mechanic. Jerry worked hauling gravel for the Logan Airport expansion project. He worked in many capacities within his jobs, but many stories touted Jerry’s ability to “fix anything.” When someone was in a tough spot with any piece of equipment, Jerry could always get them out and get it repaired, sometimes better than it had been before.

Socializing with friends, hunting and fly fishing were a few of Jerry’s hobbies. Working in the vicinity of ponds, brooks and streams when he worked in the woods, gave Jerry ample time to enjoy many evenings casting his fishing line. As well as fixing trucks, Jerry was a skilled driver. He was a first prize recipient for many years at the Moscow Truck Rodeo.

Jerry is survived by his children: Lynda Leila West, Col. Timothy Jerry Fenlason, Steven Brian Fenlason, Patricia Belle Horgan, and his favorite daughter-in-law Pamela Jean Fenlason; grandchildren: Ryan David Dawes, Lacey Mae Fenlason, Dalton Robert Fenlason, Samuel Joseph West, Micah James Horgan and Bryan Patrick Horgan; siblings: Janice Ricker and Ronnie Fenlason.
