WINSLOW – Geraldine D. (Boisvert) Pellerin, 81, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at her home in Winslow with her loving husband by her side on Aug. 23, 2014.

She was born on Aug. 1, 1933, in Waterville, the youngest daughter of Villebon and Lodia (Cote) Boisvert. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1952 and attended Mount Ida College in Massachusetts. On July 3, 1954, she married Robert Pellerin, also of Waterville. A lifelong resident of Waterville, Gerry created a wonderful household for her husband and four boys.

Gerry loved people and everyone she knew loved her in return. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. Her deep faith in God brought her great joy and influenced many, yet her greatest joy was her family; she always put their interests ahead of hers. She was a kind and loving woman, quick to laugh, always ready to hug in a moment’s notice and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Gerry enjoyed many summers with family and friends at their camp on Great Pond, as well as, traveling out west in their motor home. In her later years, winters were spent in Florida enjoying the warm weather while creating a home away from home for visiting family and friends. Gerry was an excellent cook and very much enjoyed tending their vegetable gardens. In her 30s, Gerry took up skiing, snowmobiling, tennis and golf, she even scored a hole in one at their local course in Florida.

Within the last few years, Gerry became quite adapt with new technology and really enjoyed surfing the internet with her iPad and face timing with her family. As for card games, anyone who played cards with her will confirm, she was both keen and lucky no matter which game. She loved to knit outfits for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gerry is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Pellerin of Winslow; four sons: Robert Pellerin, Jr. and wife Julie of Winslow, Michael Pellerin and wife Claudia of Winslow, Jeffrey Pellerin and partner Kathie of Scarborough, and Brian Pellerin and wife Amanda of Midlothian, Texas; nine grandchildren: Tiffany, Kristen, Danielle, Marc, Jamie, Jacob, Alec, Sydney, Noah; and three great grandchildren: Preston, Avery, and Brooklyn.

She was predeceased by her sister Yvette Roy and brother Romeo Boisvert.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Oct. 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Faith Evangelical Free Church 250 Kennedy Memorial Drive, Waterville. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to your favorite charity.
