AUBURN – Germaine Ellis, 79, of Auburn, formerly of Canton, died Sunday morning, Nov. 18, 2012, at Clover Manor in Auburn.

She was born in Audet, Province of Quebec, Canada, July 27, 1933, a daughter of Albert and Maria (Vallerand) Bilodeau. Mrs. Ellis was a hard worker having been employed at DeCoster’s, GH Bass, and also private house-keeping as well as cleaning the Canton Town Hall.

On Dec. 19, 1974, she married Albert Ellis and they made their home in Canton for many years, before moving to Schooner Estates in Auburn. He died Sept. 29, 2008.

Mrs. Ellis enjoyed gardening, sewing, and keeping her house neat and clean.

She is survived by her sons, Michael “Mike” Fleury and his wife, Barbara of Poland Springs and Roger Fleury of Rumford; sisters, Mary Jane Turgeon of Montreal and Therese Lemieux of Rodham, PQ; grandchildren, Audra Fleury of Winslow, Erica and David Beverly of Ft. Riley, KS, and their daughter Olivia Simone Beverly; step grand daughters, Jessica Young of Long Beach, CA and Vanessa Parlin of Winthrop; step grandson, Peter Young of Pebody, MA; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Lilly and brothers, Maurice and Edmund Bilodeau; and a sister, Simone Couture.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 42 Weld St., Dixfield. Private interment will be at the Canton Pine Grove Cemetery in Canton.
