He was born in Brunswick on July 2, 1946, a son of Robert and Laurette (Dumas) Willette. He grew up in the Durham area and attended local schools there. He attended three years at Lisbon High School and was a graduate in his final year at Edward Little High School in Auburn.

After high school, Glenn enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He traveled all around the world and made a career out of being in the Air Force until his retirement and honorable discharge in 1986. In 1990 he met Jean Brown and after developing a loving relationship the two were married on April 13, 1991 in Temple at Jean’s home.

They were able to spend many, but not enough, happy years together.

Glenn was a member of the DAV, American Legion and a life member of the VFW. He was a very dedicated veteran. He was also a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Farmington. He will always be remembered for his joy of fishing, hunting and the love of his dog, Shara. Most recently, Glenn had taken up the fond hobby of tracing the genealogy of his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Willette of Temple; his mother, Laurette Chapman of Turner; his two step-children, Cheryl Collier and her husband Thomas of Vienna, and Kevin Brown and his wife Wendy of Temple. He also leaves behind two sisters, Sherry Green of New Jersey and Amy Paprotny and her husband George of Las Vegas; one brother, Alan Willette and his wife Francine of Durham, two step-sisters, Jean Coggwillo of Connecticut and Jane Bennett and her husband Al of Durham, N.H., a step-brother, Arthur Chapman, III and his wife Connie of Bowdoinham, three step-granddaughters, two step-grandsons, five nieces and one nephew.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert Willette, his step-father, Arthur Chapman, Jr. and a brother, Larry Willette.
