Hilda S. Ellis (1948-2014)

FARMINGTON – Hilda S. Ellis, 66, of Strong passed away at Franklin Memorial Hospital on Dec. 18, 2014.

She was born in Farmington on Sept. 21, 1948, the daughter of James and Ruth Howard. Hilda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching them play sports, watching her granddaughters dance recitals, and playing card games with them.

She also enjoyed spending a week in Greenville with her sister every year. Her hobbies included word search puzzles, gardening, enjoying the sun and her grandchildren.

We hope that she is at peace in heaven with her mom.

Hilda is survived by her daughter Heather Powell and husband Michael of Strong; three grandchildren: Kaci Presby, Kyle Presby, and Ethan Powell; her father James; five sisters: Jean Beedy and husband Ronald of Kingfield, Grace Kelley and husband James of Strong, Penny Thomas and husband Sonny of Farmington, Kelley Welch and husband Shawn of Phillips, and Kris Howard of Strong; her brother Maynard Howard and wife Holly of Farmington; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her mother Ruth.
