FARMINGTON – Jarrett M. Farrington, 18, of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014 at his home.

He was born on March 1, 1996 in Farmington, the son of Michael and Brandi Farrington.

He graduated with the class of 2014 from Mt. Blue High School, where he excelled at classes at Foster Tech. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and many other activities.

He was always willing to help a friend, whether they needed help haying a field or getting a 4×4 stuck or unstuck, especially his father’s Jeep. He loved spending time with family and friends, and will always be remembered for the smile he always had on his face.

He is survived by his parents, Brandi Farrington of Wilton and Michael Farrington of Farmington, a sister Hailey Farrington of Farmington, and a brother David Farrington of Jay; paternal grandparents, Joyce and Frank Harris of Wilton, and maternal grandparents, Donald and Valerie Farrington of Jay, and Roger and Patricia House of Farmington; two aunts, Kristen Harvey and husband Jason of Waldoboro, and Pam Carleton and husband Patrick of Chesterville, and several cousins.

Jarrett is predeceased by his paternal grandfather Kenneth Farrington and his aunt Susie Hutchinson.

Visiting hours will be held Friday evening Aug. 29 from 6-8 p.m. at the Farmington Baptist Church on the Whittier Road, with a memorial Service on Saturday Aug. 30th at the church at 11 a.m. Interment will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams-McFarlane Funeral and Cremation Service, 108 Court St., Farmington.

    It was a pleasure having Jarret and his siblings on my School Bus. He was always smiling and joking around.

  13. Jarret was a great man. He was one of those good ol’ boys that always left a smile in his presence. Pray that his family doesn’t lay blame on his death but only becomes closer. These things never get easier, but with good grace and love life will go on with his remembrance!

    My thoughts and prayers are with you all right now during this time of tragic loss of your son and brother. It seems like only yesterday we were all standing together on the sidelines watching our boys play baseball. I still picture Jarrett as the cutest little guy with his shy smile and bright eyes playing little league. There are no real words of comfort that can take away your pain right now, but I am ever so sorry for your loss. May some of these beautiful memories, like that cute little boy in his Giant’s baseball uniform and cap, help sustain you and get you through this most difficult time. So very sorry for your loss and my sincerest condolences to all of you.
