FARMINGTON – Jeannette Kathleen McHugh, 87, of New Sharon passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at Sandy River Center for Healthcare.

She was born Dec. 13, 1927 in West Farmington the daughter of Theodore and Mary “Dot” Flagg.

She attended schools in New Sharon and then moved to Massachusetts. Jeannette worked as a nurse at Peabody Home for Cripple Children. When returning to Maine she went to work at G.H. Bass and Maine Mountain footwear as a cutter until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, crochetting, and embroidery. She was famous for her cream cheese pie and mustard pickles.

Jeannette is survived by her daughter Anna Maria McHugh of New Sharon; her son Patrick McHugh and significant other Kelly Stevens; seven granchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeaceased by her grandson Patrick Jr., two sisters Avis Moore and Ruth Storer, and two brothers James Flagg Sr. and Jerome Flagg Sr.

A graveside service will be held in May at New Sharon Village Cemetery. Those wishing may make donations in Jeannette’s memory to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. Arrangements under the care of Adams-McFarlane Funeral & Cremation Services,108 Court St., Farmington.

  4. So sorry pat and Anna she will be watching over you all so make sure you all stay on your best behavior especially you PATRICK lol again so sorry for your loss all family members she is in a better place now and not suffering
