  1. It is with sadness, unbelief, anger, compassion and heartfelt sympathy that we extend our thoughts and prayers to Janet, Terri, Crystal, Jon and all family and friends of Jodi. I can still see the little babies when I visited to see the newborn twins. Later when we became neighbors, Jodi was one of the neighborhood children who grew up with our boys. Birthdays, sleepovers, pool parties and numerous occasions come to mind. Sunday School, Youth Group and Bible School, as well as Jr. Choir bring pictures to my mind’s eye of that little boy with his special smile. The last time I saw Jodi was the afternoon I delivered Christmas Bread to Jon at Rent A Tool. Jodi had been affected by substance abuse at that time but his smile was unchanged. I have a picture taken with both Jon and Jodi.

Well, I believe God in his wisdom decided enough was enough and now holds this precious one in complete health; free from his addiction. To the family, it is my prayer that His peace and knowing others are lifting you in prayer will bring comfort during this time and the days to come. To friends, may God bring peace to you as well as you process the passing of this young man. And, may we all work together to rid our community of this ongoing problem that needs to be addressed!

    With love and prayers,
    Ruth True and Paul Berkey

  2. Crystal, I am so sorry for you. I hope that you are well and can move on. Be well.

  3. The Diaz household was my 2nd home growing up. So many fun memories. So many memories of Jody, the younger brother of my best friend. He was always friendly, respectful and so full of life (and a little bit of trouble) To this day, if you ran into Jody he could talk forever – never had a loss for words, and always a big smile. My last conversation with Jody was him telling me and my husband (one of his best friends) how happy he was for us – that it should have happened years ago. My heart and deepest condolences go out to such a wonderful family. Love you guys!!

  4. Janet I’m so sorry to hear of your loss you are definitely in my thought and you know you are always in my heart. I remember back in my Chuckwagon days I have seen Jody at his best and maybe his not so best but who hasn’t had those days at the wagon.
One thing I can say without a doubt he was always very respectful kind and funny. He was definitely loved by many . He will definitely be missed❤

The Demons that won with Jimmy took Jodi too.
Jodi was a very good friend to Jimmy. He really wanted to help Jimmy, but he was ill himself.
He was always kind and respectful to me…with a big smile and hug. .I did love him & , prayed for him daily!
I wanted him to beat the monster! But God knew his pain, just as he knew Jimmy’s.

  19. The Diaz household was my second home. It was the funnest place and always had lots of people visiting the twins. Janet was a saint to let us spend all the time we did there. I will remember my friend Jody and all the great times we had together growing up and in our young adult years. He was a true friend and I have missed him dearly for quite a while.
