WILTON — John Robert Nichols, 52, of Wilton, died peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2015, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer with his wife and son at his side.

He had a true love for muscle and classic cars and at different times owned a Chevy Chevelle, Chevy Nova SS, and Dodge Challenger. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed spending quality time with his son, Alex, at the shooting range.
John was a caring individual with a one-of-a-kind laugh. He had a love for all animals, (especially cats) and often fed the birds and squirrels in his yard. He also liked to swim and set up a pool each summer to enjoy.
