NORMAN, Okla. – Judy was born to Justin and Priscilla (Lovejoy) Tracy on Sept. 24, 1947 in Farmington. She entered Heaven on June 16 at the age of 67 at her home in Norman, Okla.

She graduated from Farmington High School and enrolled at the University of Maine receiving her Degree in Elementary Education. While in College she met and married the love of her life Charlie Haggerty on August 9, 1969. Their marriage was for 45 years before she preceded him in death.

They made their home in Vermont and Judy taught school as a second grade teacher while her other passion in life was horses. She began teaching riding lessons and raising Registered Appaloosas. Charlie’s job took them to Oklahoma in (1973). They fell in love with the countryside east of Norman, purchased some land and there the beginning of Hy Tymes Ranch began. Her love of children continued as a substitute teacher at Little Axe. She continued giving riding lessons and raising pure bred Applaloosa horses while traveling to horse shows and selling colts.

Judy would take in any kind of stray animals and nurse them back to health. She also did the same for young people that crossed her path in life. Five of those special people were Dotty, Chanel and Lynn, also Robert whom she loved and thought of as her own Grandson and Christopher as a close family member. They looked to her for guidance and direction which she provided with love in her heart that lasted a lifetime as they are all adults now living their lives as Judy’s love for them led the way.

Judy was preceded in death by her Parents and a Brother Leon Brent Tracy. Those who survive her include her husband Charlie of the home, two Brothers; Michael Tracy (BJ) and family Eben Michael, Ethan Paul and Samuel James, Justin Tracy (Judy), and family Jessica Marie and Wyatt Thomas Brother-in-law Albert Haggerty (Patricia) and Family all of Maine. Numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, at the McMahans Funeral Chapel; 616 S. 8th St, Noble, Okla. A Memorial Service will also be held in Maine at a later date.

  1. Justin, I am sorry for your loss . I just told Olivia and she said it makes her sad for you. She says she loves you and is thinking about you.
