  10. Larry and I were cousins but I really got to know him better as I grew older and am so grateful I did. He became very special to me and my father, Walt Simpson, thought the world of him when they worked together at G.H. Bass years ago. He made the trip to my Dad’s 90th birthday party in 2009 from Farmington to Exeter, NH, on crutches (from a recently broken leg) and in a lot of pain. He wanted to be there. That’s the kind of man he was. Larry and I walked together as survivors in the Dempsey Challenge last year and I felt honored to be with him. I will never forget him.
