MADISON – Lena Belanger, 75, passed away Dec. 9, 2018 at MaineGeneral Rehab & Nursing at Glenridge in Augusta.
She was born Nov. 2, 1943 in Fort Kent, the daughter of Irenee F. and Elise (Blanchard) Dumond.
She loved to cook, holidays were her favorite time to make all kinds of sweets. She also loved to do all kinds of knitting and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and whenever she had the opportunity, she would dance with anyone.
Lena is survived by her ex-husband, Paul Belanger, Sr.; 3 sons, Paul Belanger Jr. and wife Margaret of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Roger Belanger of Madison, and Donald Belanger of Madison; 2 daughters, Paula Kocur and husband Richard of Manchester, New Hampshire, Donna Grant and husband Joseph of Madison; grandchildren, Kevin Kocur of Manchester, New Hampshire, Andrew Kocur and wife Heidi of Manchester, New Hampshire, Ryan Brown of Norridgewock, Dylan and Zakary Brown of Madison; great grandson, Skylar Brown of Norridgewock. She was predeceased by siblings, Henry, Camille, Leonide, Gilbert, Clarence Normand, Robert, Clara, Nora, and Gert.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at 1 p.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, 26 East Main Street, Fort Kent, ME with Father Cyr as celebrant.
