FARMINGTON — Lucile W. Hill, 86, of Farmington, formerly of Chesterville, died peacefully on Sunday May 22, 2016 at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center.

Lucile was born Sept. 22, 1929 in Jay, a daughter of Chester R. Wing Sr. and Atheline C. Plaisted. She attended school at Wilton Academy and worked as a mother’s helper during her high school years.

Lucile was a stay at home mother until her three daughters, Vicki, Naomi, and Tami began school. She worked for Forster’s Manufacturing for a number of years as well as G.H. Bass Shoe in Wilton for over 17 years. Lucile’s career changed when she began working for Electrolux as a sales representative. Her demeanor and ability to connect with people led her to be one of the top 20 sales representatives in the nation for the company; she worked for Electrolux for 25 years.

Lucile was an independent, hardworking, and kind hearted woman. She was tolerant of others and was a firm believer in the golden rule: treat others as you wish to be treated. Lucile enjoyed watching and feeding her birds and working in her flower garden, but her biggest passion in life was her family. Birthday celebrations, holidays, and family gatherings were always held at Lucile’s home in Chesterville. In 2009, she moved in with her daughter, Tami Winner, who cared for her until she went to Edgewood in Farmington.

She is survived by her three daughters, Vicki Foster of Fayette, Naomi Bean of Farmington, and Tami Winner and her husband, Robert of Fayette; one grandchild, Amanda Jensen-Wickham, her spouse, Angela and great grandson, Spencer Tate Jensen-Wickham, all of South Portland; a step-grandson, Kristopher Winner, his wife, April, two step-great grandchildren, Noah and Nathan Winner, all of Lewiston; and by her niece, Linda Whipple of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Lucile was predeceased by her siblings, Arline Bernard and Chester R. Wing Jr, son in law, Daniel Foster and her former husband, Olavi S. Hill.

Lucile’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Spectrum Generations and Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center for their loving care and support.
