LEXINGTON TOWNSHIP – Malcolm A. Chipman, 72, passed away on Aug. 23, 2016, at Maine Veteran’s Hospital in Augusta.

He was born on May 4, 1944, in Hartland, the son of Malcolm and Helen (Mayo) Chipman. He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge. He was employed for many years as an industrial heavy equipment operator.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and enjoyed fishing, watching deer and birds in the back yard, and social time with family and friends.

Malcolm is survived by cousins, Clivia Sinclair, Keith Chipman, and Clive Chipman; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Donna Mae Robbins.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Hartland.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in Malcolm’s memory to Maine Veteran’s Project, 13 Perry Lane, Cherryfield, ME 04622.
