MADISON – Margaret H. Inman, 72, died at her home on August 20, 2015, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 14, 1943 in Norridgewock, the daughter of Alfred and Eleanor Barney.

She married Lawrence E. Ashby Sr. in 1961, and after her husband’s death, she married Edward Inman. She loved to dance, listen to country music and cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her dog Angel.

Margaret was a very caring and loving mother who was always there for her children. Margaret touched the heart of everyone she known. Family was the most important part of her life. Her dog Angel meant the world to her. She was so proud of her children and her grandchildren and their accomplishments.

Margaret is survived by 3 daughters, Debra J. Wells and husband James, Jr. of Norridgewock, Karen L. Ashby and her late husband Kenneth Ebneter of Concord, and Tonya Ashby of Madison; son, Lawrence Ashby, Jr. and wife Deborah of Starks; 3 sisters, Rosemary, Lois and Nancy; 3 brothers, Alfred, David and Mark; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Elmira and Hazel.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, Aug. 31, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Norridgewock Baptist Church followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery in Augusta. A reception will be held after the graveside service at the American Legion Post, Maple Street, Madison. All are welcome to attend.

Flowers and condolences may be sent to the Norridgewock Baptist Church, Main Street, Norridgewock, ME.

  2. Mom you are sadly missed. I love you and don’t worry I am your rock I will look out for Tonya. Angel is in good hands. Be with Dad and be happy. No more pain and suffering. I love you mom with all my heart. Just because your gone doesn’t mean we won’t be together again. Xxoo
