MADISON – Nadene C. Steward, 62, passed away on July 21, 2106 at her home in Madison, surrounded by her family.
She was born April 9, 1954 in Skowhegan, the daughter of Benjamin and Bertha (Dean) Corson. She was educated in the schools of Madison and graduated from Madison High School in 1972. On Oct. 10, 1973, she married Robert Steward in Skowhegan.
She was employed as a certified nurse’s aide for 11 years at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home and also worked for many years at New Balance. Nadene was an avid collector of angels, she loved feeding her birds and watching them. She loved planting flowers. Her favorite time was just spending time with her family and friends.
Nadene is survived by her husband, Robert Steward of Madison; son, Shane Corson and girlfriend Eunice Chase of Madison; daughter, Christie Giles and husband Sam of Skowhegan; sister, Marlene Plourde and husband Francis of Madison; grandchildren, Chantal Corson Rock, Hunter Corson, Cheyenne Giles, Faith Giles, Abagail Giles, all of Skowhegan; niece, Danielle Plourde of Skowhegan; nephew, Garrett Plourde of Skowhegan; two great nieces, Kaitlyn Plourde and Cyneburgh Plourde both of Skowhegan; great nephew, Dawson Bertone of Skowhegan.
She was predeceased by her father, Benjamin Corson; mother, Bertha Corson; and brother, Lanny Corson.
The family would like to thank Redington-Fairview General Hospital critical care unit for all the love and attention they had for us and thank you to Hospice as well.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
