Nathalie Jean Raymond White (1933 – 2014)

FARMINGTON – Nathalie Jean Raymond White, 81, of Avon died on August 31, 2014 at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center where she had been a patient for the past eight months.

She was born on May 21, 1933, in Avon, the daughter of Rex and Roberta (Wing) Raymond.

She married Gordon E. White on July 22, 1949 and he passed away on June 28, 1996. She made her home on Mt. Blue most of her life. Nat worked at local mills, drove the school bus for many years, and later on worked at Beanie’s store in Avon. After retiring, she enjoyed reading, gardening and being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by; her three sons, Dennis White and wife Jan of Phillips, Kim White of Avon, Marshall White of Farmington Falls; her two daughters, Pam Shaw and husband John of Salem, Terri White of Avon; her sister, Marylyn Bachelder of Strong; nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by; her parents; and her brother, Rupert Raymond.

At Nathalie’s request, there will be no public funeral services. A private time of sharing will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938.

  1. Goodbye, Nat. You were a terrific person and a real good sport! I’m really going to miss our conversations. (especially those laced with questionable subject matter) No one ever had to wonder where they stood with you, and that was refreshing. Thoughts and prayers to the whole family.

  2. Nat was such a wonderful,lady. And as Chris said no one had to wonder what she was thinking or where she stood on matters. I will miss seeing you at the store, when I first got to know her I was working in a local restaurant and she would come in and say “it’s tea time” and order a beer! She was a funny lady and this town will miss her

  5. Dearest Nat I will miss you quirky humor. Every time I look out towards you mountain from my mountain I will remember all the silly stories we shared. I will never forget the stash of horhounds you kept close at hand.
