LEWISTON – Nathan Gerald Allen, 25, of New Vineyard, joined the angels with God on Thursday July 24, 2014 at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, surrounded by family.

He was born on March 11, 1989, in Farmington, a son of Jeffrey Albert and Lucinda Lee (Ellis) Allen. He received his education in Farmington schools and attended Mt. Blue High School. He was an integral part of plant operations at Geneva Wood Fuels in Strong, having been relied upon for many duties from operating and maintaining heavy yard equipment, to loading trucks, and various other responsibilities.

Nathan is described by his family as a man who pushed the limits, he had no fear, could be considered gullible, never half did anything… it was either all or nothing. Nathan was strong willed, determined and was an extremely passionate person who was kind, thoughtful and considerate of others.

He enjoyed homesteading and gardening. He was a “rock hound” and spent many hours hunting for treasures with his metal detector. He liked to raise a lot of hell with his truck, enjoyed pulling trees from the woods with his 1973 Oliver, mud-pit running and making his own explosives and fireworks. As well, he was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and a special hobby of his was finding and presenting Indian head pennies to Mom.
