INDUSTRY – Peggy Eileen Hinkley, 56, of Industry passed away at her home on Dec. 17, 2014.

She was born in Farmington the daughter of Colin and Ruth Therrien. She met her high school sweetheart, Mark Hinkley, at Mt. Abram and they were married in 1977. Peggy and Mark moved to Industry in 1983 where they raised their children.

She was active in MAS Homecare of Maine, the Girl Scouts, and the Boy Scouts while her children participated. She enjoyed many crafts including sewing, knitting, crocheting, stained glass, gardening, but most of all spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasures.

Peggy is survived by her husband Mark of Industry; her mother, Ruth; two daughters: Heather Jamison and husband Michael of Livermore Falls, and Mindy Stevens and husband Gregory of Wilton; sons: Wade Hinkley and wife Dawn of Virginia and Ernest Hutchins; seven grandchildren: Daniel H., Mya, Kayla, Ivy, Daniel J., Salina, and Damien; a sister, Lynda Gray and husband Charles of Ellsworth; three brothers: Dexter Therrien and wife Susan of Friendship, Scott Therrien and husband Scott Hamilton of Augusta, and Robert Therrien and wife Carol of New Hampshire; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father Colin; a brother- and sister-in-law Dennis and Barbara Therrien; her in-laws Ray and Blanche Hinkley; brother-in-law Arthur; and sister-in-law Susan.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 starting at 2 p.m. at the Industry Town Hall. Arrangements under the care of Adams-McFarlane Funeral & Cremation Services, 108 Court St., Farmington. Condolences for the family may be sent at www.adamsmcfarlane.com.

  1. My prayers and condolences to Peggys family. Peggys was a kind caring person and will be missed by many. We were friends for many years since the days when Mark worked on the farm and peggy and the kids used to come to visit us while Mark did the chores. Rest in peace Peggy
