AUGUSTA – Robert H. Magee, 80, passed away May 23, 2016 at Maine General Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 3, 1935 In Skowhegan, the son of Orman H. Mcgee and Henrietta (Davis)Ormsby.
He was educated in the schools of Skowhegan and Waterville. On July 23, 1955 he married the love of his life, Carmen Quirion at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Waterville. He was employed for many years at Furbush Chevrolet, then retired from Colby College. He was an active member of St. John’s Parish (Corpus Christy) and enjoyed working on cars, going for rides in the country, to the coast, and Florida, spending time with his grand-dog, Buster, and having bon fires at his son Derek and wife Helens house.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 60 wonderful years, Carmen (Quirion) Magee of Winslow; 2 sons, Robert A. Magee of Tampa, Florida, Derek A. Magee and wife Helen of Benton; daughter, Debra A. Libold of Vassalboro; 4 grandsons, Carl Magee of St. Pete, Florida, Brad Magee of Augusta, Levi Magee and partner Melissa of Clinton, Chase Magee of California; step father, Gilbert Ormsby of Brunswick; step grandchildren, Glen Capen and wife Kelley and their daughter Evelyn, Stephanie Capen and partner Scott, Karl Capen; sister-in-law, Diane Creso and husband Mel; 2 brothers-in-law, Roland Quirion and wife June, Steve Couture and wife Claudette; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Henrietta Ormsby; father, Orman Mcgee; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Couture.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Waterville. Interment at Saint Francis Cemetery Waterville.
