NEW VINEYARD – Robert Roy Norman, 59, of New Vineyard, died peacefully at home with his family at his side on March 27, 2015.

He was born on April 4, 1955, in Bangor, the son of Joseph and Christine (Stewart) Norman. He was educated in the schools of Old Town. Robert was a paper maker at Georgia Pacific for 30 years. Later on, he moved to Las Vegas and worked 10 years at Clearwater Paper.

He retired in 2013 and moved home to the family farm in New Vineyard. Robert belonged to the Harley Owners Group and U.B.M. for many years. He loved Harley bikes and riding with his wife throughout the country. He enjoyed hunting on the farm.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Norman of New Vineyard; his parents Joe and Chris Norman of Bradley; his three daughters: Cassie Fry and husband Tom of Plain City, Ohio; Missie Tinder and husband Matt of Belfast; Kelly Norman and Scott Fournier of Old Town; former son in-law, Kenny Sirois of Old Town; his grandchildren, Ashley and David Tinder, Hayden and Taryn Fry, Kelsea Sirois; his brother Chet and Doreen Whitney of Old Town; his two sisters, Cheryl and Donnie Tate of Charleston, Sheila Hunt of Madison; his close friends, John Schaefer of Connecticut, Nancy and Chris Keane of Charleston; his beloved dog, Brandy Jean.

At Robert’s request there will be no services.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd, Farmington, ME 04938.
