She was born on Aug. 2, 1954, in Farmington, the youngest child of Willis and Lila (Parlin) Locke. She attended Mt. Blue High School and graduated with the class of 1972. She completed her bachelor’s degree from University of Maine at Farmington and her masters in social work from Smith College in Northampton, Mass.

Her strong will and determination led her to accomplish all of this, while always making her daughter her number one priority.

She enjoyed her “Sillies By Sally” crafts, scrapbooking, volunteering for the American Red Cross and in her local community, ’60s music, particularly the Beatles; traveling and unplanned road trips across the country and reading – she was recently gathering her own ideas for one of Stephen King’s future best sellers.

She never skipped an opportunity to stop at a yard sale or miss a bargain. She greatly enjoyed her time spent at camp on Chain of Ponds. She enjoyed and appreciated all of the little things in life, and always enjoyed gatherings with her dear friends for drinks and laughter.

She truly knew how to enjoy the most of life, and lived her life with no regrets. Her happiest of times were those spent with her family. To her, her family was the world.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Tasha, and husband Bob Adams of New Sharon; granddaughter, Kelsea Adams and fiancé Jennings Pinkham of Farmington; grandson, Cody Adams and partner Danielle Saulnier of Mercer; grandson, Dawson Adams of New Sharon; two sisters, Sandra Harris and husband Eugene of Farmington, and Sharon Botting of Tamworth, N.H.; two brothers: Bruce Locke and wife Terry of Kennebunk, and Barry Locke of New Sharon; and her loving dog, Dolkar.

She was predeceased by her parents; her big “bro” Brian Locke; and her long time, four-legged companion, Dudley Woofington Locke.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Thursday, May 7, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938, with a celebration of life beginning at 6. In lieu of flowers, the family asks folks to bring a story or memory of Sally to share on Thursday and to consider donating blood to the Red Cross.
