FARMINGTON – Sue A. Moody, 87, a resident of Orchard Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center in Farmington ME, and formerly of Naples FL, passed away to be with the Lord on Dec. 14, 2018. She was born on July 23, 1931, in Wayne, Maine, a daughter of William R. and Madeline (Steward) Pettengill, Sr. She was the youngest of five children.

Sue was predeceased by her husband, Hubert E Moody; a daughter, Rachel Wasdin and four siblings: Frank Palmer, Faye Page, Wilhelmina Wells and William R. “Bill” Pettengill, Jr.

Sue and her husband owned and operated The Four Seasons Restaurant in East Wilton, Maine for many years in the 60’s to the 70’s. Sue loved to swim, travel, and picnic throughout New England, and she loved her red hot dogs. She was employed at LaVerdiere’s Super Drug store in Farmington Maine, where she took pride in being one of their top saleswomen.

After her retirement she and Hubert moved to Naples Florida, where she worked as a security guard at a gated community. She worked until age 79.

Her family is grateful for the wonderful care she received at Pinewood Terrace and Orchard Park.
She is survived by her son Kurtis Moody, and wife Debbie, of Wilton, Maine. Her daughter Debbie Prescott, and husband Victor, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Her step-son Lee Moody and companion, Gaye Reeve, of Farmington, Maine. Her grand-daughters, Kara Moody of South Portland Maine, Amanda Moody of Farmington, Maine, Lori Elliott, and husband Greg, of Panama City Beach, Florida. Grandsons, Jason Prescott, and wife Sarah, of Sandpoint, Idaho and William (Jake) Wasdin and wife Gracie of Florida., as well as several great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Wiles Remembrance Center: Adams~McFarlane Chapel, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, on Thursday May 9, 2019 from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 PM. Graveside services will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Farmington Remembrance gifts may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association Maine Chapter 383 US Rte.1 Suite 2C Scarborough, Maine 04074.     I am so sorry to hear of Sue’s passing. I enjoyed seeing her at Pinewood. Always talked to her.
