Theodore R. Fischer, Jr. 53, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday Dec. 17, 2014 surrounded by family and close friends after suffering a long illness.

He was born the son of Nadine M. Fischer and Theodore R. Fischer, Sr. on Oct. 13, 1961 in Farmington. He graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1979 and married Mary A. Clark on July 5, 1986.

He was a seasonal worker for most of his life as he enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed many things but he especially enjoyed wreath-making,  fiddleheading, fishing, canoeing and spending time with family.

His greatest joy was his children and his grandsons Malachi and Forrest.

He is survived by his mother Nadine M. Fischer of Chesterville, his daughter Jenica Couture and husband Bryan Couture of Livermore, his son Theodore Jay Fischer and companion Justine Boyd, grandsons Malachi Nelson and Forrest Fischer, two sisters Linda Stevens of Temple and Judith Fischer and her companion Richard Starbird of Wilton. Special close friends Diane and Brian Butterfield, Bonnie and Randy Adams, Jimmy Millet and Jack Firth.

Predeceased by his wife Mary A. Fischer, father Theodore R. Fischer Sr. and mother-in-law Abby Clark. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined by family.

  7. I am so sorry to have to read about this. My memories are from Temple as well. He worked on our farm for awhile. I think he owned the very first 12 speed bike I ever saw.

  9. We will all miss Teddy…always “Teddy”….he stood for so much more than most will ever know.
    The fact that he chose to do seasonal work made him his own person. With much respect I know a lot of us
    that trudge off to work every day and hate it…imagine, Teddy got to do what he loved most every day
    at his choice!
