MADISON – Theodore S. Fernald, age 75, died Sept. 21, 2014 at the Redington-Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan.

He was born August 20, 1939 in Waterville the son of Frank W. And Thelma (Mcallister) Fernald.

He was educated in Madison schools and graduated from high school in 1958. For many years he worked at Fernald’s Grocery Store as a meat cutter, was also a construction worker, sold live bait, and Eastern Packing Company for two and a half years as a truck driver. He was a member of the Madison Congregational Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, square dancing, golf, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Frank Fernald, Jr. And wife Pauline, Richard Fernald and wife Ann; sister, Anne Steward; beloved nephew, Dennis Lord and wife Lorna of Madison; step-son, Larry Andrews and wife Linda Jo of Embden; 4 step-daughters, Linda vigue and husband Roger of Madison, Glenna Blazic and husband Skip of North Anson, Sheila Hardy and husband Bruce of Norridgewock, Cathy Hinman and husband Ricard of Sarasota, Florida; many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 21 years, Hattie Parker, and wife of 30 years, Patricia Andrews; father and mother, Frank and Thelma Fernald, Sr.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 2:30 PM at the Forest Hills Cemetery with Reverend David Walz officiating.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in his memory to the Madison Food Cupboard P.O. Box 316, Madison, Maine 04950.
