WATERVILLE – Timothy A. Attaya, Sr., 75, died peacefully March 5, 2015 at Maine General Medical Center with his loving daughter, Debbie, by his side.

He was born August 21, 1939 in Waterville, the son of Thomas Jackson and Frances Priscilla (Sibley) Attaya.

He was educated in local area schools and graduated from Waterville High School in 1957. He was employed by S.D. Warren Paper Company as a bio-mass operator from 1965 to 1998 and also owned and operated All Seasons Motor Sports Show every January at the Augusta Civic Center from 1987 to 2009. Tim was president of the Maine Chapter for Richard Petty Fan Club from 1977 to 1985 and was vice president of the United Paperworker’s International Union for most of the 1970s. He enjoyed NASCAR, auto racing, and he started his affinity for racing with promoter position at Unity Raceway, Unity,ME, from 1979-1982 and later at Beech-Ridge Speedway in Scarborough from 1983 to 1985. After retirement, he attended Daytona 500 and never missed a race on TV.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Kathleen Attaya of Waterville; son, Timothy Attaya, Jr. Of Waterville; daughter, Debbie Park and husband Thomas of Manchester; 2 grandsons, Derek Pamphrey of Fairfield, and Seth Park of Manchester; granddaughter, Sheyenne Attaya of North Port, Florida; and former wife, Sandra Frazier of Winslow. Predeceased by a son, Thomas Kelly Attaya, who died May 2002.

At Timothy’s Sr. request there will be no funeral or visitation hours. Graveside service in the spring at the convenience of the family.
