FARMINGTON — Troy C. Tyler, 47, of Farmington, died  unexpectedly and went to be with his parents in heaven on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015.

Troy was born on April 20, 1967, a son of John and Jackie (Kennedy) Tyler. He attended Mt. Blue High School, graduating in the class of 1985. Troy worked in the woods for his father’s business and enjoyed being in the Maine outdoors. Troy loved cars and had a talent for restoring antique tractors and donated to the Rangeley museum and Farmington Fair museum logging and farming antiques.

He also was a member of the Crazy Horse Monument project in North Dakota. He was a quiet, but sensitive man who was always concerned for others. He loved his dog, Angel, and had a special relationship with his nephews and great nephew; he loved his family dearly.

Troy is survived by his brother, Tony “Scott” Tyler and his girlfriend Karen of Florida; sisters, Tina Pelletier and her husband Ken of Livermore Falls and Tess Goodland and her husband Jim of New Hampshire; nephews, T.J. Tyler and his girlfriend Gabbi of Farmington, Dustin Tyler and his girlfriend, Ariel of Farmington, and Kenneth Pelletier II and his girlfriend Loryanna of Livermore Falls; and a great-nephew, Riley Tyler; and a special friend, Mitch York.

A graveside service will be held noon on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Gay Cemetery in Farmington. Donations in memory of Troy may be made to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, 550 Industry Rd., Farmington, ME 04938. Cremation Services are in the care of Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938.

  1. Troy made many contributions to the farmington fair museum,always being sure they honored his parents.The museum staffand fair officials were privaliged to have worked with Troy and his family.
