Vincent Joseph Vitrano (1942-2012)
LEWISTON - Vincent Joseph Vitrano, age 69, went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2012. He had been a patient at CMMC in Lewiston for the past three days, following a long battle with lung disease.
He was born on Dec. 4, 1942, in New York City, N.Y., the son of Jack and Justina (Guastella) Vitrano. He was educated in the schools of New York and New Jersey, graduating from Oakcrest High School in 1967. He married Janice Frazier on Sept. 7, 1963 in Absecon, N.J.
He worked for MSAD 58 as a bus driver, retiring in 2002. He had made his home in Phillips for the past 32 years. He was a “Jack-of-all-trades” and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Janice of Phillips; four daughters, Sharon O’Neill and husband Tim of Cape Elizabeth, Karen Cole and husband Harold of Frederic, MI, Deborah Vitrano of Phillips, and Sherrie Flash and husband Frank of Cape May C.M.C.H., New Jersey; one brother, Peter Vitrano and wife Claudia of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Sally Lawrence of California; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Caroline Vitrano.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church, 268 Perham St., Farmington, with Pastor Brian Rebert officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, ME.
