He taught me the ins and outs of the wood working craft and I taught him the wonderful word of POS ( point of sale). The best times and the memories I will cherish is our talks about his family events. He sure loved those family functions. We also had a saying, if Wally did not know you. You were an out of towner. So a I’d check was in order. Thank you Wally for the memories.

  49. I’ve known Wally my entire life. I grew up on Rt. 156 at Beans Corner. I remember he would be at Mert Farringtons and he would pick on me and my sisters as would ride our bikes by. He was my bus driver for many years and I always looked forward to seeing him and his smile and happy face. When I bought my home on Rt. 133, he became my daughters bus driver. He treated them the same way he did me as a child. Leeanna was Blondie and Ashley was Fred. It always made me chuckle! When he would see my youngest daughter Hailee he would always make her smile and laugh. He was a great man and friend. I got to enjoy working with Wally while we were both employeed by The Jay School Department. He made me feel right at home there and taught me a lot.
I will miss him greatly. Just seeing him at Ricks or over to Aubuchuns made my day. He was always happy to see me. He always asked about my girls and how they were doing. He was a Genuine Friend.
Kathy, Chris and Mike I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you all. God Bless!

  50. So sorry to hear of Wally’s passing. My condolences to his family & friends. Though I hadn’t seen much of him since our school days, I remember we were always in the same home rooms throughout our school years & our seats were not far from each other. If I remember correctly, I think my name was immediately after his alphabetically speaking for roll call :) He was always a nice guy!
