AUGUSTA – Wayne A. Bumford, 64, passed away March 25, 2015 at Gray Birch Nursing Home in Augusta.
He was born Nov. 11, 1950 in Augusta, the son of Morris Fish and Pauline Smart Bumford.
He grew up in Hallowell and attended local area schools as well as Hall Dale High School. He worked for many years in the field of masonary and was also employed many years by Pine State and also did many years of volunteer work for the city of Hallowell. He enjoyed NASCAR, football and was an avid Patriots fan.
Wayne is survived by his only daughter, Jennifer Bumford and fiance Jonathan of Windsor; a son, Wayne C. Bumford of Augusta; 3 special grandchildren, Marissa, Hunter, Kaylee; many brothers and sisters and other loved ones.
The family would like to express their gratitude and special thanks to the Gray Birch nursing staff, especially Patty, and staff at Maine General Medical Center of Augusta for all the support and care while he was there.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation hours or funeral service.
