Letter to the Editor: Congratulations to Scott Nichols

I, along with my family, would like to congratulate Chief Scott Nichols on winning the Republican Party nomination for Sheriff. Chief Nichols worked long hours and sacrificed time with his family and their business to obtain this victory. We differed on several local and state law enforcement issues but discussed them as professionals and most importantly as gentlemen. I am in hopes the issues that I brought to the table will be discussed in the coming months by Sheriff Pike and Chief Nichols. Sheriff Dennis Pike and Chief Scott Nichols are both fine men and deserve your respect when you respond to any articles in this paper and others.

   I just wanted to say a Job well done to Tom also. He ran a very good campaign also. His respect for Sheriff Dennis Pike and Chief Scott Nichols say a lot for who he is. Thank you for your efforts! Congratulations to Scott.
