Ed David has shown during his recent debates with Andy Buckland that he has a knowledgeable and clear understanding of the issues facing the people of District 113, with real ideas for solutions. Knowing that quality education is essential for growth and prosperity of the community, he supports change in the state funding formula. He also supports the healthcare expansion provision for Maine, which would greatly benefit Franklin Memorial Hospital and all other hospitals across the state. He is open to creative ideas about taxes, which might include a seasonal sales tax or a tax on second homes. And, he has ideas about promoting economic development for this area through tourism, conservation, and an increased agricultural presence.
Many decisions made by the current administration have negatively affected our district. Extremist positions and partisan politics have resulted in funds being cut for education, healthcare, and job production. Andy Buckland’s support for Ron Paul’s Libertarian ideals is a cause for concern that those trends would continue if he were elected.
Ed David’s many years’ experience as an attorney, active community volunteer, and his strong interest in quality education has given him a wisdom and understanding of current issues that would greatly benefit all voters in this district. He has our vote on November 4th.
